Using Planet-X

Looking around is open to everyone. Telling a story, remembering someone, waving and flying a banner are for citizens, and becoming a citizen is for people aged 18 and over. You are responsible for what you post from your citizen.

What may not go on the planet

• anything about a real person that identifies them without their consent, or pretends to be them;
• intimate images or nudity of anyone;
• anything that harasses, threatens or targets a person or a group;
• anything illegal in India or in the place it is about;
• links, phone numbers and addresses in stories, and spam of any kind;
• a banner or story dressed up as part of Planet-X itself.

Stories, memories and banners

You keep what is yours. By posting, you give Planet-X permission to show it on the planet and on the share cards and links made from it, for as long as it stays. Remove it and it comes down.

A memory is for a person who has died. Add only someone you are free to remember, and keep the dedication respectful. Banners are read by a person before they fly, and one that breaks these rules is refused or taken down; a banner removed for that reason is not refunded.

Secrets

Secrets are anonymous to everyone on Planet-X. We keep which account wrote each one, only so we can stop people who break the rules. We share it with authorities only when the law requires it or someone’s life is in danger.

Secrets are for citizens 18 and over. They are found only by digging, and every secret is checked before anyone can dig it up; one the check is unsure of is read by a person first. A secret may not name or point to anyone, carry contact details, describe a serious crime in detail, involve sexual content with anyone under 18, attack a group, or be made up to shock. You can delete yours at any time.

Reports and removal

Anyone can report a story, a citizen or a memory. Several reports hide it until a person has looked. A report that a post is about you, or shows an intimate image, hides it at once. A post that breaks these rules is removed, and a citizen who keeps breaking them can be removed.

Our side

The planet is offered as it is. We work to keep it running and honest, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of mistakes, and we are not responsible for what others post. Nothing here limits rights you have under the law.
